I readツHow I Lost 170 Million Dollars: My Time as #30 at Facebook by Noah Kagan.

Mini Tweet-Sized Review: How I Lost 170 Million Dollars by Noah Kagan was a very interesting page-turner. I loved the story of what it was like to work for Facebook in the early stages with a guppy Mark Zuckerberg. It inspired me to put work hours into my work and show up like I give a damn.

LIMITING

(the habits I want to stop or limit)

No Spending Extra Money

  • We are going strong!
  • We have denied ourselves from purchasing cat toys and an awesome laser toy.

No Soda, Chocolate, Processed Foods

  • No soda has been consumed
  • Oreos were bought and eaten over a stressful incident (a trigger)
  • Processed foods every damn day in my mouth

No Wearing Brandon’s Clothes

  • This still has been a success. I even put on a shirt for the first time. Brandon’s mom gave me a shirt 6 months ago and I haven’t tried it on because I thought it wasn’t going to fit, but it’s perfect and comfortable.

No YouTube / Netflix / Streaming Shows and Movies

  • Well this has been a total fail
  • I’ve been watching a lot of TV this week. Watching Tidying Up and Hell’s Kitchen for the most part.

Limited Social Media

  • I have not opened Facebook except to message family
  • I opened Instagram about 2 times which I’m really proud of
  • I’ve been spending less time on Twitter too. I’m just throwing status updates on there whenever

Limited WiFi On Phone

  • I have failed this week. I kept Chrome and GMail on my phone with WiFi all week.

I M P R O V E M E N T S

WHAT CAN I DO BETTER?

  • Meal prep a lot of plant-based food to force me to eat them before they go bad.
  • Use an Internet blocker on sites that I stream shows and movies. Remove the WiFi connection from my TV.
  • Disable Chrome and Gmail from my phone for good.
  • I’m only allowed to have wifi on my phone during the morning to sync. That’s it.

U P D A T E S

This week has not gone the way I wanted it to. I gave into weeknessesツ and crutches. I discovered that the sugar in soda is what I am truly craving. I’m not wanting caffiene, but I’m wanting sugar. I craved it so much that I bought chocolate (breaking a rule) and candy. I’m not even a candy person.

A stressful event on Thursday with the groomers left me pissed, stressed and on the couch binge watching TV. I need to learn to control my stress in more positive ways.

My husband found a way to get a free microwave. So, nothing extra was spent this week.

This was a short update week because I don’t even remember half my week. I caved and spent a lot of time numbing myself which I didn’t want. But, I can do nothing now but move forward.
