I read How Not to Die by Dr. Micheal Greger

Mini Tweet-Sized Review:

How Not to Die by Dr. Michael Greger breaks down America’s 15 leading killers from heart disease, cancers, diabetes to Perkinson’s disease and suicide. It shows you the science behind nutrition so you can prevent, halt and sometimes reverse these diseases with every bite you take

LIMITING

(the habits I want to stop or limit)

No Spending Extra Money

  • On Saturday, we splurged at a festival. $12 total for a funnel cake and fries.
  • Then we went to Sheetz to get a meal because at home, our pipes were frozen and after using all the dishes, we had nothing left to cook on. I’m not sure if this broke the rule or it doesn’t count due to our cicumstances.

No Soda / Processed Foods

  • No soda has been consumed and I have no urge or craving at all.
  • The splurged food was processed!

No Wearing Brandon窶冱 Clothes

  • I窶况e been wearing only my clothes. Easy peasy.

No YouTube / Netflix / Streaming Shows and Movies

  • I caved and watched some Netflix on Friday. But none besides that except Hell’s Kitchen with Brandon.

Limited Social Media

  • I have not opened Facebook except to message family
  • I窶况e been spending less time on Twitter too. I窶冦 just throwing status updates on there whenever.
  • I hardly go on Instagram.

Limited WiFi On Phone

  • This could’ve gone a little better. I’m addicted to checking my email.

WHAT CAN I DO BETTER?

  • Continue to keep the TV unplugged. This has very helped keep the tv watching down.
  • Continue to make a lot of food ahead of time.
  • Now finally sit down and get to work.
  • Keep diabling apps after each use to make it harder to access them.

U P D A T E S

I did a writing retreat this week and managed to write 2 blog posts. I do have the capability to write at least two posts a day. But this week was mainly consumed with reading my book.

I had originally planned to read this book within 3 weeks. Yet, I did it in one. I just couldn’t put it down.

I am taking a week off from reading and will be going hard on working. I’m challenging myself to have an 80 hour work week. I want a challenging goal to complete.

So, we’ll see how this goes!
